Microsoft Movie Maker
Movie Maker allows you to edit and create digital videos. You can include video and still images in a Movie Maker project.
Microsoft Movie Maker is a free add-on you can get for your Windows system if you have Windows XP or higher.
It allows you to edit video files for webcast/vodcasts.
The key to using MovieMaker is setting the Marker on the timeline on places where you want events to occur. A marker is used in nondigital filmmaking to mark a new scene or a new tape for "rolling". The marker is usually a chalk board marking which roll of film, which scene, and the time on the roll. Usually its the thing that is clapped down in front of the camera when the director yells "Action!" Digitally, its called the same thing - a marker.
You then go to Clip, Split to split that piece of film where the blue line is on the timeline. When you split the film, you have created a marker for an event. Then use the transitions, effects, etc. in the place of the marker to create the edits for your movie.
